Todd Stein

Todd Stein is the Senior Vice President of the Irrimax Corporation, a medical device manufacturer headquartered in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Previously, in Washington, Todd served as the Legislative Director and Chief Counsel for Senator Joe Lieberman (I-CT), a senior member of the Senate Committees on Armed Services and Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs (HSGAC). In his capacity as Legislative Director, Todd led the Senator’s efforts on health care, education, the federal budget process, climate change, including the introduction of the American Power Act, and the successful passage of the Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell Repeal Act. Todd advised Senator Lieberman on all legal issues, including the nominations of four Supreme Court justices.


Todd also served as Majority Counsel on HSGAC where he led the Committee’s work on domestic Islamist terrorism and the investigation into the failure of the flood control system in New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina. That investigation led to changes in how the Army Corps of Engineers evaluates and plans flood control projects. Since returning home to Georgia, Todd has taught classes on the Politics of National Security Policy at the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs at Georgia Tech and on the Politics of Healthcare Policy at Morehouse School of Medicine. Todd holds degrees from Emory University (BA), King’s College, University of London (MA), and Vanderbilt University (JD).
